Great Basin Ventures pursues real estate investment and development opportunities to acquire, own, and lease industrial warehouses and other commercial real estate properties as part of larger Opportunity Zone Funds. In our original investment, we acquired four industrial warehouses comprising of more than one million square feet of space in Salt Lake City, Hurricane, and Richfield, and we look to expand further with our next fund. SLC-GLC Building 3
SLC-GLC Building 3, which was part of our first fund, is located within the Global Logistics Center adjacent to the Utah Inland Port and offers nearly 600,000 square feet of space. This investment property, just west of the Salt Lake City International Airport, is the first building to be completed within the Utah Inland Port’s master development.
Bell Canyon, LLC. Warehouse
The Bell Canyon, LLC. Warehouse is a light industrial facility located within the Centennial Industrial Park and was part of our first fund. Its prime logistical location south of the Salt Lake City International Airport provides convenient access to multiple transit hubs and 65,000 square feet of space, including office space and more.
NWQ Great Basin Solar
In partnership with NWQ Great Basin, LLC, Great Basin Ventures will be building a rooftop solar array that is set to be located on top of SLC-GLC Building 3. The project is due to be completed in late 2021 and will be the largest rooftop solar array in Utah. The project will help provide clean energy to both residences and businesses throughout the state.
Black Rock Solar Energy
Black Rock Solar Energy is a solar power generation project being installed in the Black Rock Desert and was part of our first fund. This substation services the energy grid of the western United States and will provide energy for states including California, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming.
